Lighting Control and A/V
On this prestigious project our client asked us to design a modern Audio/Visual & Lighting Control solution with an emphasis on understated looks and a minimisation of our impact on the overall interior design concept. After an initial design meeting it was clear that our client had an exacting taste and a clear vision for this large scale renovation and extension project.
We immediately got to work building a lighting control and Audio/Visual system around as few a number of wall switch plates as possible. Authentic Georgian rooms were left without switch plates, just as they would have been in their original setting by utilising intelligent design and wireless technology.
Bringing both the grounds as well as the building back to its original Georgian splendor was no small task for the Architects Interior Designer and Client and we were asked to design a bespoke solution around their efforts. Put simply this project was 'manna from heaven' for our design team, a specific brief with a clear objective, albeit one that often stumps non design led solution providers.
The Home Cinema was to be located in the Grand Ballroom, an aesthetic challenge, as well as an acoustic nightmare, with the room being so large and open. Again an elegant solution was required, so after some consultation with the contractors we were able to hide the huge HD drop screen in the authentic Georgian pillar, completely out of view when not in use and hide the projector on a wall over 10m away.
