Home Cinema of the month just after the UK’s first lockdown and before the next one kicks in? That’s right, we nailed it! We’re particularly proud of this one and how the team pulled together to help us catch-up on a pre-existing back-log of install projects as well as our more regular servicing responsibilities. Teamwork makes the dreamwork someone once said…. This win is dedicated to all of them, thank you.
With our home cinema service, we truly believe that our rooms are more than the sum of their parts. So we will eschew the obvious list of electronics here and talk a little more about the process and the resulting performance that led to the award last October.
As with every success (in our humble opinion), we believe teamwork (yes the T word again) is important in achieving the ultimate goal, so it would be remiss of us to exclude our client in the write-up of this home cinema journey. Having their buy-in on our design ideas and guidance when it comes to their own, makes all the difference when in the early stages of the room build. An engaged client process helps not only design a space that will ultimately be used as it was intended, but one that represents something truly personal to the client. The perfect mix of real-world design and the personal touch.
The room itself boasts sound treated walls with our Alcantara fabric covering giving a truly luxurious look and feel. After taking room measurements we opted for a 13.2 speaker array, 4 of which would work as the ceiling ‘Atmos” channels. Base comes from 2 huge units (after all, you can’t beat physics when it comes to low end impact!), these are sited behind the screen along with the front 3 speakers. The 4K screen measures 3.05m, again measured for the ultimate viewing experience without straining the eyes (or neck!). All in all this room has the ability to move you with its specification as well as its design. Home Cinema Perfection, even if we do say so ourselves.
